USAF Announces Uniform Changes #MoralePatchFriday

In an effort to “build esprit de corps and facilitate team building,” Air Force uniform regulations have been updated to allow air crew to wear morale patches on Fridays and on special occasions. Morale shirts are also now allowed under ABUs and flight suits on Fridays.

Other changes include

  • Reflective belts during PT are no longer required
  • Any color athletic shoe is allowed during PT
  • Qualification badges can be worn on ABUs
  • Cell phones and cases can be any color
  • No more black boots in industrial environments – sage only
  • Colonels and below must wear cloth insignia pins on ABUs
