The Orchestrated Decline of Western Civilization

Homo sapiens is defined as, “…the species of bipedal primates to which modern humans belong, characterized by a brain capacity averaging 1400cc and by dependence upon language and the creation and utilization of complex tools.” We are all Homo sapiens, or humans. Christians say that humans have been around for about 6,000 years since the creation. Scientists claim home sapiens have been on the planet for about 200,000 years. Christians and non-Christian scientists agree that written human history began with the Egyptians about 5000 years ago, and Western culture began with the Greeks a little over 2000 years ago.

Western culture did not do very much, however, to improve the human condition until a couple of hundred years ago. This was when the Age of Enlightenment began, followed almost immediately by the Industrial Revolution and the Space Age. Why is this? Why did it take 6000, or 200,000, years for mankind to drastically improve living conditions for virtually all humans on the planet?

Decline SideAll agree that Greek, Roman, Chinese and others thousands of years ago had the same levels of intelligence that we do in the 21st century. Why have we progressed so rapidly in a mere few centuries?

The answer is Western culture, and specifically the truly unique and revolutionary form of government instituted by our Founding Fathers. It is very unlikely that the technological marvels, medical miracles and clean water and food supplies in abundance would exist today without the United States.

The United States led the charge during the Industrial Revolution. Our emphasis on individual freedoms and rights, and de-emphasis on government interference, allowed Americans to capitalize on their own intelligence and abilities. Anyone could express his or her self without being crushed by kings, chiefs, dictators, or an aristocratic class that believed themselves superior and suppressed individual initiative to protect their own status. Innovation flourished.

There are not a lot of democracies like America, outside of Europe. Most of Africa is run by dictators. The Middle East, despite pretenses, has no democracies other than Israel. Central and South America have a few, but many like Venezuela have been overthrown from within. There are a few Asian democracies, but the vast majority of the countries are run by despotic regimes. Does anyone really think that the human condition would improve if we in the West embraced these tyrannical, soul-destroying means of governing? Hell, the Taliban, ISIS and others have made it very clear that science would be effectively banned and, certainly, there would be no individual freedom allowed.

What is worrisome is the apparent desire for some in the United States to embrace anything non-Western. More than embrace, the media and the Administration seem determined to cultivate anything that can overthrow Western culture, and replace it.

Our own United States government is now run by Executive Order. If the White House does not a like a law, then they just issue an executive order to ignore it. If you do something in support of the administration and it is against the law, no problem: the Justice Department simply won’t prosecute. If our government doesn’t like what you are doing, they will target you to ensure that you can’t oppose them (think IRS, Immigration, etc.). Congress does nothing.

Western culture and the American Constitution are not being overthrown by foreign intervention; some of our own fellow citizens are orchestrating the destruction by deliberate sabotage.

  1. The concept of codified law goes back +/- 4,000 years. The earliest, created by the Sumerian ruler Ur-Nammu of the city of Ur, dates all the way back to the 21st century B.C., and evidence also shows that the Sumerian Code of Lipit-Ishtar of Isin was drawn up nearly two centuries before Hammurabi came to power.
In the 18th century B.C., the Babylonian King Hammurabi fashioned a compendium of 282 laws that set standards of conduct and justice for his empire in ancient Mesopotamia. Etched on an imposing seven-and-a-half-foot diorite pillar, or stele, the commands covered everything from property rights and criminal behavior to slavery and divorce, and promised brutal punishments for all who disobeyed. These famous pre-Biblical laws helped shape Babylonian life in Hammurabi’s time, but their influence would echo throughout the ancient world for over a millennia. Hammurabi’s Code was surprisingly ahead of its time when it came to laws addressing subjects like divorce, property rights and the prohibition of incest, but perhaps most progressive of all was a stipulation mandating an ancient form of minimum wage. Several edicts in the Code referenced specific occupations and dictated how much the workers were to be paid. Hammurabi’s Code also set several valuable legal precedents that have survived to this day. The compendium is among the earliest legal documents to put forth a doctrine of “innocent until proven guilty.” In fact, the Code places the burden of proof on the accuser. When two parties had a dispute, legal protocol allowed them to bring their case before a judge and provide evidence and witnesses to back up their claims.
The United States has had great progress because we have been a nation of laws not men. When U.S. Presidents have taken the law into their own hands, tyranny and death have resulted
