SHOT Show: Rocky Boots

During SHOT I was able to stop by Rocky. The team there is friendly – special thanks to Tony Williams, who got me specs and press information incredibly fast – and their products are, as always, high-quality, durable, and,  most importantly, AR-670-1 compliant. New for 2015 is the S2V, which comes in standard and enhanced.

I tried on the new Rocky S2V Enhanced Jungle Boot, which was pretty comfortable and definitely lightweight. Nice room in the toe box and a secure fit through the heels. The S2V Sieve technology is a nice feature and lets air in for comfort’s sake as well as keeping your feet in better shape with long wear, and it also lets water out so your feet stay cool and dry in a variety of climates. These boots have a 7mm lug depth and a rounded edge to the outsole for added ankle stability. As soon as a pair comes available for a wear test I’ll let you guys know how these boots really stand up to serious use.
