Head to Toe Stocking Stuffers

The holidays are just around the corner, but if you are like me there is still shopping to be done. The stores are still open on Christmas Eve right? Okay, so you don’t want to late until the very last minute. I get that. So, here are some ideas – each available on USPatriotTactical.com and able to be ordered from the convenience of your smartphone.

Stocking stuffers can be tough to pick out. Candy doesn’t last long, and jewelry is more of a gift than stocking item. When I draw a blank, I often fall back to a basic rule of thumb my aunt used to rely on – socks, gloves, hat or skivvies. Everyone needs them, and they need to be replaced on a regular basis. Let me show you some of the best of each.

darn-toughDarn Tough Merion Wool Cushion Socks

Comfortable, warm socks are a must. You get the wrong pair, and before you know it, you are limping around nursing blisters, freezing while standing post or both. The tried and true answer is wool. Wool is the natural answer to almost all your foot comfort problems. It’s incredibly warm, wicks moisture away, provides excellent cushioning ability and is naturally antimicrobial. Like I said – everything you need in a quality pair of socks.

The Darn Tough Merion Wool Cushion Socks not only offer all the natural protection of wool, but are also U.S. Army Team Soldier Certified and Army Fire Resistant Equipment Ensemble approved. This means that not only will they provide the protection you need, but will not result in a uniform gig while doing it. Plus they have a lifetime guarantee.

Cold fingers make everything more difficult, but even a quality pair of gloves is less than ideal if you need to keep removing them to use your smartphone or tablet. The answer is to find a top notch pair of gloves you can trust to keep you warm AND provide touchscreen capability. Enter the Mechanix Wear Insulated Gloves.

Mechanix Wear has been producing gloves that are warm and durable for years – first with those in the auto repair trade and later soldiers and law enforcement. Now they also offer a pair with touchscreen capability. No more taking your gloves off every time you need to answer a call, run a tag or check a text.  Water & wind resistant outer shell, 230g fleece and synthetic leather palm means comfort and durability no matter the conditions.

propper-hatPropper 6 Panel Ball Cap

Who can’t use another ball cap? The 6 panel cap by Propper offers a low profile design with a strong, heavy bill meant to last through years of tough duty. The 65/35 poly cotton blend is machine washable, and the hook & loop closure means one size fits most. Plus, the 3”x 2” hook field means it can be personalized with your favorite flag, state or moral patch, making it one of a kind. With this ball cap in their stocking, your loved ones will never again need to worry about protecting their heads and face from the sun. Plus, it will be sure to turn some heads, whether on the range or sidewalk.

Nothing leads to a not so good day like being stuck in a pair of uncomfortable skivvies, especially if that “day” drags on longer than expected. Enter the 5.11 6” Performance Boxer Briefs. A blend of spandex and polyester provides support without impeding movement or pinching when (or where) you don’t want it. Anti-microbial & enhanced moisture wicking, especially useful when your days drag on past normal hours, means all day comfort. Finally, the tagless design and flat lock seams mean no chaffing or itching even with a tight fit. Regardless of your assignment, you will enjoy all day comfort from the flexible, breathable construction.
